Police looking for tips in semi-truck crash in Nampa

NAMPA, Idaho — Idaho State Police are looking for information in a crash that happened on December 11 just before 7 p.m. The injury crash occurred on eastbound I84 near the Franklin Boulevard exit in Nampa.

All vehicles involved in the crash were traveling east near milepost 39 when Michael B. Stephens of Clovis, California, driving a 2014 Toyota Corolla, was hit by a semi-truck while changing lanes. The semi did not stop. Stephens then hit Boise Resident Iovko Margaritov, who was driving a 2013 Honda Accord.

The Corolla then spun, came back across traffic and hit Nampa resident Vickie Sandvik, driving a 2006 Toyota Scion. There was a partial lane blockage for around an hour. All drivers were wearing seatbelts.

Stephens and Sandvik were taken by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center.
