Two dead in Nampa shooting

NAMPA, ID - Nampa Police officers are investigating a shooting in a Nampa neighborhood in which two people have died.

Shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to the 1900 block of West Flamingo Avenue on a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found an elderly couple –- a male and a female -- in the home with what police term “potential gunshot wounds.”

Investigators said one occupant was deceased; the other was transported to a local hospital.

The names of the two have not yet been released, pending notification of relatives.

Autopsies will likely be conducted Wednesday, said Nampa Police Sgt. Tim Riha.
