The Ontario Police Department is trying to find details of why a man was stabbed last weekend.
About 2:45 Sunday morning, officers were dispatched to the Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario after reports that a stabbing victim had come to the hospital.
Who police only describe as a 46-year-old Ontario man told officers he had been stabbed while walking down a street in the northwest part of Ontario. “Officers determined that the incident had actually taken place at a residence in the 700 block of NW Third Street and are attempting to determine exact details of the encounter and circumstances between the suspect and victim,” said Ontario Police Lt. Steve Mallea.
The victim sustained a stab wound to his abdomen and arm.
His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
“A search warrant was obtained for the residence and the Oregon State Police Crime Lab responded to process the scene for evidence,” Mallea said.
No one has been arrested in connection with the stabbing.
No further information was available.
