Nampa Police responded to a car vs. house crash overnight.
According to officers the crash happened on South Powerline Road at 12:30 a.m.
The driver of the car was identified as 30-year-old Joseph Rivera. Rivera was driving eastbound on East Sherman Avenue when he drove through the intersection, the yard of the house and then into the house. The accident caused considerable damage to the car and the residence, but no one was in the room he crashed into at the time of the accident. No injuries were reported.
Evidence and statements from Rivera and residents show he attempted to leave the scene after the crash but the car was stuck on a rock according to Nampa Police.
Rivera was charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a property damage crash. He was booked into the Canyon County Jail.
