A northern Idaho man is behind bars after leading police on a chase near Cour d' Alene.
Idaho State Police say they received a report of a white Dodge pickup driving erratically on I-90. When officers located and attempted to stop the truck, the driver lead them on a pursuit on the interstate toward Cour d' Alene. Officers had to discontinue the pursuit near Northwest Boulevard out of concern for public safety.
Troopers found the vehicle a few minutes later. The truck ran over deployed stop sticks that deflated a tire. The suspect, later identified as 37 year old Kevin Patterson, of Rathdrum, Idaho, fled eastbound I 90 again before exiting at the 15th Street exit and turning south.
Patterson fled east on Spokane Street and then north on 14th, driving into a residential yard and fleeing on foot.
With the assistance of a K9, Patterson was found nearby and was taking into custody.
Patterson faces charges of felony eluding, resisting and obstructing, malicious injury to property, and reckless driving.
