MERIDIAN — A 29-year-old Boise woman has been booked into the Ada County Jail after Meridian Police say she had inappropriate sexual contact with a resident of a group home.

The victim is described as a 32-year-old developmentally-delayed man with the mental capacity of an eight-year-old, said Meridian Deputy Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea.

Brittany Wilson was a worker in the east Meridian group home at the time. Reports say she had worked there about three months.

“We believe they had sex on at least three occasions,” Basterrechea said. “We were contacted by her employer who had some concerns because of text messages they found (on the victim’s phone).”

Officials of the home then contacted the Meridian Police Department.

Wilson was booked about 2:30 a.m. Saturday on three felony counts of sexual abuse/sexual exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

She is expected to make her initial court appearance Monday afternoon.
