MERIDIAN, Idaho — Meridian Police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic dispute in which officers say the victim was choked until she became unconscious.

On Sunday, February 9th, 2020, officers pulled over a vehicle near the intersection of N. Eagle Road and East Fairview Avenue.
It’s unclear what initiated the traffic stop.

After the vehicle stopped, Blake Emerson, 21, got out of the passenger’s side of the vehicle and was taken into custody without incident.

He was booked into the Ada County Jail for one count of misdemeanor domestic battery, one count of misdemeanor malicious injury to property, and one count of felony attempted strangulation.

On February 8th, Meridian Police officers responded to a domestic dispute on the 4000 block of N. White Cap Lane.

The twenty-year-old female victim told officers that Emerson allegedly showed up uninvited, broke her phone, and choked her unconscious during a physical dispute. Emerson then fled the scene.

Emerson is on felony probation for grand theft and delivery of a controlled substance.
