A teenager has been arrested for attempted second-degree kidnapping after police say he tried to lure children into his car.

Meridian Police arrested seventeen Zackery Brower, 17, back on December 7th of last year, after investigators say he attempted to lure a twelve-year-old girl and an eight-year-old girl into his car in two separate incidents.

“The eight-year-old victim’s mother was nearby during her attempted abduction and was able to get a photograph of Brower’s vehicle,” said Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea. “The incidents took place approximately thirty minutes apart.  The first incident took place near Ponderosa Elementary School and the second incident happened near Sawtooth Middle School.”

Brower was waived to adult court last Monday.

If anyone has had similar contact with Brower, they are urged to call Meridian Police Detective Jim Miller at 846-7332.
