CALDWELL, Idaho — An Oregon man is dead after a crash happened west of Caldwell Monday afternoon.
Idaho State Police say 36-year-old Michael Kreider of Vale was driving westbound on I-84 in a 2003 Chrysler Town & Country. Kreider swerved to avoid the traffic caused by another crash and lost control. He crossed into another lane and hit a semi-truck and trailer driven by 49-year-old Ronald Patterson of Ormond Beach, Florida. Kreider died at the scene, and Patterson was not transported to the hospital.
The crash is still under investigation by Idaho State Police.
