One man dead after head-on crash south of Pocatello

MCCAMMON, Idaho — One person is dead and another is in the hospital after a head-on collision near McCammon, a town south of Pocatello.

Idaho State Police say 18-year-old Taylor Kollmann was driving westbound on Highway 30 around 10:00 a.m. Monday when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow covered roadway. She crossed the center of the roadway where she collided with 74-year-old William Landfair's vehicle, which was traveling eastbound.

Landfair died on scene due to his injuries, his next of kin has been notified.

Troopers say Kollmann was transported to the hospital by ground ambulance, and that all drivers were wearing their seat belts.
