One man is dead after a crash on Fairview Ave. Friday afternoon.
Police say a sedan was traveling south on N. Linda Vista Ln. and attempted to turn left onto W. Fairview Avenue when an SUV driving west on Fairview hit it.
The driver of the sedan was at fault for the accident and was cited for failing to yield on a left turn. Officers say the driver of the sedan's injuries did not seem to be life-threatening, but the 82-year-old man was taken to the hospital.
Officers were notified just before 1 a.m. Saturday that the man had passed away. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The crash is under investigation, and the Ada County Coroner will release the identity of the victim after his family has been notified.
