One dead, two injured in head-on crash with tow truck

CANYON COUNTY, Idaho — UPDATE: William "Bill" Fuller Jr., 42, of Emmett was pronounced dead at the scene of the Crash on Highway 16. This case is still under investigation by the Ada County Sheriff's Office.

ORIGINAL STORY: Police say one person is dead, and two others have been taken to the hospital, after a head-on crash involving a car and a tow truck Wednesday evening on Highway 16, near Firebird Raceway.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says it was the male driver of the car involved who died, and his passengers who were taken to the hospital by paramedics. Authorities say the tow truck driver was not seriously injured.

The crash closed Highway 16 in both directions Wednesday evening.
