MERIDIAN, Idaho — UPDATE:

The Ada County Coroner has identified the 49-year-old man who authorities say took his own life this morning. He was pronounced dead at 8:11 a.m., according to a release from Coroner Dotti Owens. The manner of death has been listed as a suicide.

However, 6 On Your Side has chosen not to identify the man out of respect for surviving family members.

ORIGINAL POST:

One person is confirmed dead following what investigators are calling a domestic incident in Meridian.

Shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday, multiple Meridian Police officers, Ada County Sheriff’s deputies and paramedics responded to a home in the 400 block of South Linder Road, north of Interstate 84.

An Ada County dispatch supervisor would only call it a “domestic incident.” Officers on the scene say there is no threat to the public, calling the incident a private matter.
