MELBA, Idaho — A Melba man is dead after a single vehicle crash on State Highway 78 just west of Givens Hot Springs. Idaho State Police says the crash happened on February 24 just before 11 p.m..
45-year-old Vicente Acosta-Angeles of Melba was traveling east on State Highway 78 near milepost 6.8 in a 2012 Ford Focus. The Focus went off the right shoulder and rolled, coming to rest in a field. Acosta-Angeles was ejected from the vehicle, and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Acosta-Angeles was not wearing a seatbelt. Next of kin has been notified. State Highway 78 was blocked for about three hours.
