The driver of a burnt out vehicle found near Swan Falls told police that following the crash, he climbed up to the road and got a ride to the hospital.

According to an Ada County Dispatch spokeswoman, crews were called to Swan Falls Road and Victory Lane about 7:15 a.m.

“We found an unoccupied single vehicle on its roof,” said Kuna Fire Department Assistant Chief Terry Gammel. “It was on the shoulder of the road down an decline near Swan Falls Dam.”

Preliminary information indicates “the driver may have gone up an embankment and the vehicle rolled onto its top,” he added.

Investigators believe the fire may be connected to a person who was later treated at the West Valley Medical Center, Gammell stated. But he declined to give details, citing an ongoing investigation.

The driver has not been identified at this time.
