A famous sculpture in downtown Boise that had been recently rebuilt will now have to be repaired following a traffic accident that occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 20th.

A vehicle driving westbound on Front toward Capitol ran a red light and struck a taxi that was headed northbound on Capitol.

The impact caused the vehicle that ran the red light to strike the newly remodeled River Sculpture on the Grove Hotel.

The driver was not intoxicated but was cited for failing to obey a traffic signal.

The driver of the taxi was not seriously hurt. The Boise City Department of Arts and History will be handling the repairs.
