POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) -- The Idaho Fish and Game Commission have approved that state's fishing rules for the next three seasons.
The Idaho State Journal reports that the new rules go into effect on Jan. 1.
Included in the rules is a new statewide possession limit. It will be three times the daily bag limit after the second day of the season. Currently, the possession limit is equal to the bag limit.
For the Southeast Region, the commission increased the minimum size of bass that can be caught from 12 to 14 inches.
New rules were also established for the Bannock Reservoir in Pocatello. The reservoir's daily bag limit will drop to two fish. It can be a combination of any species.
Kokanee Creek will be closed to fishing.
