KISS is making one fan's dream come true. All while putting her to work. Petty Officer First Class Christa Mode has gone from serving our nation in the United States Navy to serving the gods of rock and roll.

It’s the kick off to KISS's freedom to rock tour and their making it a show the Detroit born veteran will never forget.

Christa mode is a veteran of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and suffers from PTSD and physical injuries.

KISS has partnered with hiring our heroes. A nationwide initiative to help veterans and their loved ones find work.

Christa has been working all day as a roadie right alongside her combat buddy Steve.  She has been stuffing VIP bags and taking care of any last minute details.

But it wasn't just all work and no play. She got a behind-the-scenes look, meet the band and got up on stage.

During her time overseas Christa says Kiss helped keep her family together.

"The song ‘Beth’ I used to change the words to it a little bit and dedicate it to my kids while I was overseas so it's kind one of those things," explained Petty officer first class Christa Mode

KISS will also be doing a tribute to the military during the concert, in collaboration with city and military leaders.
