The National Federation of the Blind in Idaho is holding its state convention this week in Boise.
The three day event includes guest speakers, seminars, and even a kid/parent workshop this year.
The group's mission is to raise the expectations of blind people, and to remind the community that blindness is not a characteristic that defines a person or their future.
The organization holds group meetings regularly.
