NAMPA – A Nampa woman was arrested for stabbing on Saturday morning.

On June 4, 2016, at approximately 6:20 am, a 56-year-old Nampa resident came into the Nampa Police Department and reported being stabbed at his residence in the 100 block of 21st Avenue South in Nampa.

Nampa Police officers responded to that residence and detained Virginia Goodson, 55, of Nampa. She was later taken to the Canyon County Jail where she is being held on the charge of Aggravated Battery.

Goodson and the victim were determined to be in a domestic relationship.

“Domestic violence situations can be very volatile. We ask the public to contact us when issues occur so we can intervene before a situation rises to this level. Violence in a home is not something which should be tolerated and law enforcement is here to help keep everyone safe,” said Sergeant Donald Peck.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.
