Nampa postpones public hearings during stay-at-home order

NAMPA, Idaho — The Nampa City Council voted March 28 to postpone public hearings at Nampa City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission meetings effective immediately and for the duration of the State of Idaho’s statewide stay-at-home order.

When the stay-home order is lifted, the city will reschedule public hearings. The City of Nampa will hold additional meetings to quickly work through the public hearing backlog created due to the impact of the coronavirus.

Applicants who have previously scheduled public hearings will be contacted by City of Nampa staff.

If an applicant has a question for a Nampa City Council public hearing, please contact the Clerk’s Office via email clerks@cityofnampa.us or phone 208-468-5415. If an applicant has a question for a Planning & Zoning Commission public hearing, email pzall@cityofnampa.us or call 208-468-4430.

The Nampa City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission will continue to meet (via video stream) to move the work of the city forward. Action requiring a public hearing will resume as soon as the “stay-home” order is lifted. The City of Nampa will move the public hearing process forward quickly and as soon as possible. The public will be able to watch the meetings “live or later” online.

The next Nampa City Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2020 and the agenda will be posted at https://cityofnampa.us/AgendaCenter by 5 p.m. April 2. The next Nampa Planning and Zoning Commission meeting is scheduled for April 14 and the agenda will be posted at https://cityofnampa.us/AgendaCenter by 5 p.m. April 9.
