Nampa Police seek attempted bank robbery suspect

A man was sought in attempted bank robbery in Nampa on Friday afternoon.

Nampa Police said a man came into the Bank of the Cascades in the 500 block of 12th Avenue South in Nampa, approached the teller counter and told a teller that it was a robbery and demanded money.

According to the police, the suspect did not display a weapon or didn’t say he had one. He repeated what he had said and then quickly left the bank on foot without any money.

The suspect is described as a man in his late 20’s or early 30’s, 175-180 lbs and about 6 feet tall. He has light complexion and dark hair. He was wearing a black leather jacket with a white or yellow foodie sweatshirt underneath, a red beanie cap, dark pants, and black tennis shoes.
