A Nampa man has been arrested for enticing a child over the Internet, but police are releasing few details – except to say that there may be multiple victims.

About 5:30 p.m. on July 5, the Nampa Police officers arrested Brenden Gilpin, 18, in the 3300 block of Garrity Blvd. But police are not saying what led them to that neighborhood. “Because of the sensitive nature of the case –- and that we are dealing with a potential crime against a child -– we are being very cautious in releasing any details about the ongoing investigation,” said Nampa Police Sgt. Don Peck.

Peck confirmed that Gilpin did not have access to children through his employment.

The Nampa Police Department is interested in speaking with anyone else who may have any information about Gilpin. If anyone has further information, they are asked to contact the Nampa Police at 465-2257. Information can also be given anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS or on the internet at 343COPS.com.
