Nampa holding 2019 State of the City today at Columbia High School

NAMPA, Ida. -- Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling is preparing for her second State of the City address. The theme for today's speech is "Moving Forward."

The Nampa Fire Department and Nampa Police Department Honor Guards will present the colors. Entertainment ahead of the address will be provided by the Nampa Senior Center's Crescendo Choir and Liberty Charter School's RAD Choir. The NNU Jazz Revival will perform during a reception following the address.

Today's address starts at 4 p.m. at Columbia High School on South Happy Valley Road. The address is free to attend and seating is available on a first come, first serve basis. A community reception will be held immediately following the address around 5 p.m. Light appetizers and desserts prepared by the Nampa School District Culinary Arts Program will be served. Tickets to the reception are $5 at the door with proceeds benefiting the culinary program.
