Mountain Home Police: Armed robbery suspect posted live facebook video

A man charged with attempted armed robbery has been booked into the Elmore County Jail, after police say he robbed a store, then posted live video on facebook narrating his travels on Interstate 84.

About 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Mountain Home Police responded to the local Walmart where a customer was reportedly making threats. According to Lt. Ron Harmon of the Mountain Home Police department, a man -– later identified as Jason Granger, 32, from Michigan -- purchased a money gram, then demanded money from a clerk, while displaying a holster in his waistband.

Witnesses described the suspect as having a red hair, beard and blue jeans. He reportedly left the scene on a bicycle.

Investigators say they found a live video on facebook allegedly from Granger, narrating his traveling on Interstate 84, some time after the incident.

Granger was soon located by an Idaho State Police trooper and taken into custody.

Granger was booked into the Elmore County Jail on one count of felony attempted armed robbery, two counts of burglary, and one count of possessing stolen property, according to Elmore County Jail records. All are felonies.

Police say Granger took the bicycle from a local church.
