Motorcyclist killed in crash near milepost 29

CALDWELL, Idaho — A Caldwell man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Caldwell Monday night. Idaho State Police say the crash happened around 10 p.m. on westbound I84 at milepost 29.

Eric Hauser, 21, of Caldwell was driving west on I84 on a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle. Henry Boswell, 57, of Meridian was also driving west in a 2006 International semi pulling a single trailer. Hauser hit the back of the trailer and came to rest in the lane of travel. The semi came to rest on the right shoulder.

Boswell was wearing a seatbelt and Hauser was wearing a helmet. Hauser died from his injuries at the scene, next of kin has been notified.

All lanes of I84 were closed for around 30 minutes. They were partially blocked for another two hours. The crash is still under investigation by Idaho State Police.
