Tiffany Smiley's world changed forever in 2005 when she got a call at 3:00 a.m.

Her husband Scott, who was an Army officer got blown up by a suicide vehicle in Iraq, Scott would lose vision in both of his eyes.

"In that moment the world freezes and not only did Scotty's world blow up into a million pieces, but mine did as well," said Smiley.

The long road to recovery included many different obstacles and challenges that Scott and Tiffany would overcome together, Tiffany wouldn't give up on Scott's U.S. Army career.

Scott was the first officer in the army to serve while being blind, he finished an Ironman and he wrote a book.
