The body of a man who has been missing since last July has been recovered in Washington County.
On April 24, a person reported finding the body of a deceased man near the Weiser River Trail, about six miles north of the Presley Bridge.
The caller took Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies to the site.
Authorities removed the body and took it to the Ada County Coroner’s Office for identification.
Officials there were able to use dental records to identify the man as Scott Gross, 41, of Fruitland, who had been missing since last summer.
Gross had left his home on an ATV, which was later recovered near New Plymouth.
Searchers scoured the area, but were unable to find any sign of him.
The cause of death was not released; however, investigators do not suspect foul play.
