From downward dog to child pose, folks around the Treasure Valley are practicing yoga for a good cause.

On Sunday, Body Calm Yoga Studio and Spa hosted classes benefiting the Ronald McDonald House. The charity often becomes a "home-away-from-home" for families, while their sick child receives medical care.

Body Calm is one of many local studios participating in "Yoga for the Greater Good." Each month the group picks different charities to support.

"As yoga studios, we like to be part of our community and give back to charities. There are so much need out there in the community. Last month we did one for Meridian Canine Rescue to help out the dogs. This month we did Ronald McDonald House," said Elizabeth Capper, owner of Body Calm Yoga Studio and Spa.

If you want to suggest a charity for a future workshop, you can contact them on facebook. Proceeds go toward their monthly cause.
