A Meridian woman was arrested Wednesday and facing multiple charges related to package and mail thefts.
According to Boise Police, Jennifer Hays, 35, was arrested Wednesday on multiple charges and warrants. Boise Police and Meridian Police Officers located Hays in the area of W McMillan Rd and N Ten Mile Road and she was taken into custody during a traffic stop. A K9 alerted on the vehicle and a search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia. Officers also found two large sets of bolt cutters and other evidence linking the suspect to recent burglaries.
Over the last few weeks, officers have found evidence linking Hays to multiple package thefts and mailbox thefts. One investigation began on December 19th when Boise Police were made aware of multiple delivery boxes discarded at a Boise business. After the investigation, officers were able to determine that the boxes had been stolen from multiple homes on the Boise bench. Officers were also able to find security video of the suspects who discarded the boxes and identified the suspect as Jennifer Hays, said officials.
Hays is facing multiple charges and investigations are ongoing.
