MERIDIAN — Two nineteen-year-old men have been booked into the Ada County jail on felony robbery charges after Meridian Police say they beat a teenager and took over $300 from him.

Shortly before 6 p.m. on Tuesday April 16, officers responded to the 1400 block of Joshua Street in Meridian for a report of a robbery.

Police met the 17-year-old victim who told them he had met with two young men -- later identified as Dylan Kidd, 19, of Kuna (pictured, left) and Skylar Sanders, also 19, of Meridian (pictured, right) -- to purchase a pair of Nike shoes.

“Kidd and Sanders picked up the victim and told him they forgot the shoes and drove to the area of the robbery under the guise they were going to pick the shoes up,” said Meridian Police Department Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea.

“They exited the vehicle and Kidd (reportedly) beat the victim by punching him in the face multiple times and told him to empty his pockets -- which the victim did by throwing the money he brought to purchase the shoes on the ground,” Basterrechea added.

“Kidd took the money and Sanders drove them from the area,” he said.

Police said the victim suffered a bloody nose and some facial contusions.

Officers arrested Kidd at about 2 p.m. Wednesday in the 10000 block of W. Emerald Street in Boise. Officers arrested Sanders about 6:20 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Franklin and Linder Roads in Meridian.
