MERIDIAN – Meridian Police are investigating a possible case of police impersonation.
Police said they received the report on Saturday, December 12, 2015, from the mother of a 13-year-old boy who told the police that he had been stopped by an adult male while he was walking with his 14-year-old friend in the area of E. Cassidy and N. Tupiza at approximately 8:30 p.m.
The man identified himself as a law enforcement officer and asked the boys if they had been out stealing or causing problems and took a picture of the 13-year-old’s school ID card. Then he sent the boys on their way.
The only description given by the boys was the suspect may have been driving a Jeep Wrangler.
