The Meridian Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who robbed The Bank of The West at 1630 S. Wells Avenue Monday.
Officers responded to the bank about 11 a.m. after a man reportedly handed a teller a note demanding money. The note indicated he had a weapon, but one wasn’t seen or displayed, police said.
The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
He’s identified as an older white man, about 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10 inches tall, weighing about 180 to 200 pounds, with short gray or white hair.
He was last seen wearing a black and white ball cap with a “Chevrolet” logo it, a maroon long-sleeved buttoned shirt, blue jeans and tan boots.
If you have any information about the suspect, you are asked to contact the Meridian Police department or Crimestoppers at 208-343-COPS.
