Meridian Police arrested three out of state men after they attempted to access credit card information at a local Jackson's Superstore in Meridian. The arrests happened on Friday at 3:00 p.m.

A clerk at the Jacksons noticed the men tampering with the pay area of a gas pump and contacted Meridian Police with a description of the men and the van they were driving. Meridian Police found the van and the men quickly. 29-year-old Yatsel Aleman-Santana of Miami, Florida; 29-year-old Adrian Acosta-Alonso of Miami, Florida; and 22-year-old Carlos Pineda-Vera of Portland, Texas.

Officers searched the rental van with the consent of the men and discovered equipment used to retrieve credit card numbers from the pump and the crowbar used to pry the electrical area of the pump open. Police also found numerous credit cards in the men's names, which they believe to contain stolen credit card numbers.

All three men were booked into the Ada County Jail on the charge of Grand Theft. Police do not know if these are not the same people responsible for the credit card theft from this Jacksons previously.

Meridian Police are still investigating and more charges may be brought against the three men.
