Police say they’ve arrested a man in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries that occurred in northeast Meridian in March.

According to Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea, detectives were able to develop evidence connecting Dylan Robert Mercogliano, 18, “to about fourteen completed or attempted vehicle burglaries.”

“Some of the vehicles were locked, others were left unlocked,” Basterrechea said.

Mercogliano was arrested without incident at his home Monday night in the 4500 block of North Stampede Way.

Officers also found about three grams of methamphetamine in the house, Basterrechea said.

Mercogliano is charged with two counts of felony burglary, one felony count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of felony grand theft, four misdemeanor counts of petit theft, and one misdemeanor count of possessing paraphernalia.

He is scheduled to make his initial court appearance Tuesday afternoon in Ada County.
