The City of Meridian gets high marks from its citizens.

Out of 743 randomly selected residents, 93 percent of residents surveyed believe Meridian is a great place to raise a family. 92 percent rated the city as a excellent place to live. The results also show, people in Idaho's second largest city say it's a safe place to live.

The city and it's partners also rated above the national average in 42 out of the 46 areas that it was compared to and significantly higher than the U.S. average in 39 areas.

The last time the city was surveyed was in 2014 and this time the results were higher.

"We know we continue to have work to do, but we love that our residents our residents mirror what we're hearing from these national publications that say we're a great place to live, our residents more importantly think we are," said Mayor Tammy de Weerd, City of Meridian

You can hear more survey results during a town hall meeting Wednesday, July 26th, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at Challenger School.
