MERIDIAN, ID — The community came together today to help military members serving overseas.
The Advanced Automotive Center in Meridian hosted a massive garage sale and fundraiser to help raise money for Blue Star Mothers of America.
Tucker Kelley, who attended the event, says, "Well with Blue Star Mother's of America they tell us exactly where it went, how much was purchased, and which troops got the deployment package. So, it really makes a difference especially if you have friends and family in the military, you might be able to be helping them out without even knowing it."
The event included bounce houses, food and drink trucks as well as raffles.
