Police arrested a Meridian couple Tuesday night in what investigators describe as a “definitely significant” drug trafficking case.

About 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Meridian Police served a search warrant on a home in the 3300 block of Acarerra Court, following an ongoing narcotics investigation.

During the search, reports say police recovered about fifty grams of heroin and some twenty-nine grams of methamphetamine.  “(We) also seized numerous items of drug paraphernalia and a Walther P22 handgun -- which was located in a gun case with drugs,” said Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea.

This was “definitely significant,” he added.

Police say Reis Lowe, 29, and his fiancé, Keri Adair, also 29, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, and drug trafficking in heroin (28 grams or more). Adair was also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
