Ada County held an unusual funeral service for twelve people today.

The service was held in honor of those who have died, but whose cremated remains were never claimed.

This is the 14th year Ada County has held the memorial for the forgotten at the Terrace Lawn Cemetery. Last year, 11 remains were interred, and more than 60 the previous two years.

"Everyone deserves to be remembered, everyone deserves something said and a place for their name, and we just feel that that was something that we were able to accomplish, and we're proud and honored to be able to do that," said Dave Salove, General Manager at Cloverdale and Terrace Lawn.

Right now, the remains are being held in a crypt donated by he Cloverdale Funeral Home.
