There are several ceremonies across the Treasure Valley for Memorial Day on Monday May, 28th, 2018.

Everyone is invited to attend the annual celebration at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery on Horseshoe Bend Road. The program starts at 10 a.m. and features the Idaho National Guard Band, bagpipers and rifle and cannon salutes.

At Morris Hill Cemetery in Boise, Civil War volunteers will perform a flag raising, eulogy, and gun salute at 12 p.m. The ceremonies are repeated at 1:30 p.m. at the Fort Boise Military Reserve Cemetery.

In Eagle, The "Field of Honor" is back at Reid Merrill Park. 600 flags are dedicated to heroes who fought for our country. The Field of Honor started in 2008 and has been displayed every year since, making it the longest consecutive Field of Honor in the country.

It's a volunteer effort spear headed by two sisters who say flags can be purchased to honor any veteran for 30 dollars and all the proceeds go toward helping veterans.

In Meridian, there will be two Memorial Day ceremonies. The first, starts at 11:00 a.m at the Rock of Honor Veterans Memorial inside Kleiner Park. Seating is limited, so bring a lawn chair if you can. The second starts at 1:00 p.m. at the Meridian Cemetery on Franklin Road.
