Authorities have cleared the Marsing School District of a bomb threat after nearly three hours.

Roughly 800 students were evacuated from the elementary, middle and high school after a written bomb threat was found at approximately 11:45 p.m., according to Owyhee County dispatch.

The note was found in a bathroom at Marsing High School claiming that an explosive was hidden in a locker at the middle school.

The Owyhee County Sheriff’s Office, Homedale Police Department, Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, and the Boise Police Department responded with aid from K-9 bomb sniffing dogs.

One parent called 6 On Your Side to report that he was unable to remove his kid from the premises.

Students will continue with after school programs.
