A man that robbed a clerk at Paul’s Market last spring has been sentenced to 20-years in prison.

Andrew Reed Buzard was sentenced by Fourth District Judge Timothy Hansen to a 20-year prison term for felony robbery but can request parole in eight years.

The incident occurred just before 10:15 pm on April 11th when Buzard walked into the store located in the 10000 block of W. Lake Hazel Road wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Buzard demanded money while holding a handgun and fled the scene.

Security footage was released to the media and by the next afternoon, tips to police were called in.

A person identified Buzard from the images and U.S. Marshals assisted ACTION team deputies to arrest Buzard at a home on W. Brownstone Drive two days after the crime.

Detectives found evidence at the Brownstone Drive home linking Buzard to the robbery.

In a plea agreement, Buzard pleaded guilty to felony charge of robbery in October in exchange for prosecutors to dismissed a charge of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
