Three people were rescued from an early-morning house fire in rural Caldwell.
Crews were called to a home the in the 20600 block of Upper Pleasant Ridge Road around 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Rescuers had to cut through an outside wall of the burning house to rescue a man trapped inside the bathroom, authorities said. Paramedics treated the man for burns and smoke inhalation, then transported him to a nearby hospital. His name was not released.
Two others were also taken to hospitals.
Information on their conditions was not immediately available.
The house is a total loss, according to fire department spokesman.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause for the fire.
