Man in bear hat steals from Meridian Walmart with gun

Meridian Police are asking for the public's help tracking down a man and woman wanted for robbing the Meridian Walmart at gunpoint.

Police say at 11:20 a.m. on Monday a man in his early 20's walked into the Walmart on Fairview Avenue wearing a furry bear hat and bright yellow jacket. He proceeded to load up a shopping cart with everything from auto parts to underwear and leave the store without paying.

A Walmart employee followed the man to the parking lot where he was confronted by the man with a black handgun saying, "get back or I am going to shoot you."

The employee said there was a female driver in the car. She is described  as white, in her late teens with blonde hair and pony tail. The man is described as approximately six-foot tall and 160 to 180 lbs. In addition to the furry hat and yellow jacket he is described as wearing ripped jeans and white shoes.

The getaway vehicle is described as a four-door compact sedan with a ski rack on top and Ada County plates.
