UPDATE: Police remain at the scene of a standoff this morning after a man barricaded himself inside a home in Emmett Tuesday night.
6 On Your Side has learned the Emmett School District has canceled classes for all schools today, in part because of this incident, but also due to expected weather.
Police say they received a call of a domestic dispute around 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night.
When officers arrived on scene, they were able to safely remove a female subject from the home, but they say a male has barricaded himself inside.
Police say the man is alone inside the building, and they believe there are also several guns in the home.
Right now Central Rd. is blocked between Big 4 Ave. and Mesa.
