A Caldwell man that fled multiple police agencies from Boise to Eagle was arrested after officers used a spike strip to blow out his tires.
Officers attempted to stop Cheyenne Bodie Mayo on State Street near downtown Boise after witnessing his truck swerving in the lane around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9th.
Mayo fled officers and the Boise Police Department called off the pursuit due to safety concerns of other drivers on the roadway.
A short time later, a Garden City Police officer and Ada County Sheriff's deputy observed Mayo at State and Glenwood Street just past Edgewood Lane and attempted to stop him.
Mayo briefly stopped just past Eagle Road, but accelerated toward officers who were walking toward Mayo’s truck.
Mayo fled the scene and ended up on Highway 44 near N. Park Lane where and Ada County Sheriff’s Office deputy laid down a spike strip.
Mayo ran over the spike strip and stopped near Linder Road where he was arrested and charged with failure to purchase a driver license (m), attempting to flee or elude an officer (m), aggravated assault (F) for attempting to hit the Garden City Police Officer and attempting to flee or elude officers (F).
