Local woman raises funds to provide books and blankets for local hospital

A Boise State student is on a mission to make sick children's lives a little easier through books and blankets.

Georgia Keshian is raising funds to purchase the items for kids at the Children's Specialty Center at St. Lukes.

She said she wanted to help others and remembered how much books helped her when her mother was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer when she was just a child.

"Books really helped me enter into a new world like Narnia and all those wonderful books and I thought,  well if there are children that are sick and children that need help, if they have books that can help them forget about all the crazy things that are going on with their lives then that would make things a lot better, and it's starting to get into winter season so everyone needs a blanket to read with," said Keshian.
