MERIDIAN, Idaho — Like many other eateries in the valley, Wingers restaurants in Meridian, Nampa and Mountain Home are now offering drive-thru, take out, and delivery options only.

Despite this, what the owner of these franchise locations is doing for his displaced employees -- stands out from the rest: Treasure Valley wingers locations are offering free daily food for their hard-hit employees.

Additionally, the owner, Brad McDougal, personally donated $15,000 dollars for his employees to use on things like gas and food.

"With the large reduction in hours and income, from not having our dining rooms open, we set up a fund that servers, bartenders, cooks, etc., can actually pull from and borrow from just to pay for the bare necessities," said McDougal.

Starting this weekend, if you purchase a $25 dollar gift certificate at any of the three Treasure Valley Wingers locations, 100% of the proceeds will go towards the new "Employees Food Fund."
