MINIDOKA COUNTY, Idaho — Idaho State Police are investigating a serious injury crash involving two Minidoka School District buses that occurred just before 6:15 a.m. Monday.

ISP says the crash occurred on westbound State Highway 25 near milepost 43, outside the city of Paul.

Four students were taken to hospitals by ambulance or private vehicles, with one student later being flown to Utah for treatment. The students’ injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, according to police.

Superintendent Spencer Larson told Idaho News 6 that students who were not transported took shelter at a nearby home and were later reunited with their parents or guardians.

State Highway 25 was closed for roughly 5 hours as crews worked to clear the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
