MERIDIAN, Idaho — A 20-year-old motorcyclist is dead after being involved in a collision with a pickup truck near Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian on Friday morning. No students were involved in the crash.
Meridian Police, the Meridian Fire Department, and the Ada County Paramedics performed life-saving measures on the rider following the crash, but those efforts were unsuccessful.
The victim, who was wearing a helmet, was riding a Kawasaki sports bike north on Linder Road when a Jeep Gladiator entered Linder Road and the collision occurred.
Portions of the roadway in the area remain closed as investigators continue to collect evidence. The West Ada School District has since created a plan to reduce traffic delays as Rocky Mountain High School students are let out of school this afternoon.
